Learn martial arts in an environment where emphasis is placed on self-defense, respect, tradition and self-improvement, not on sport and competition. Build confidence while learning teamwork and humility.
In addition to traditional Karate, Tai Chi, Ninjutsu and traditional weapons are also taught in these classes.
Head instructor Xanthi Gerasimo has over 20 years experience in the martial arts and holds a 5th degree black belt in Mizu Ryu Karatejutsu, as well as black belts in Ninjutsu and Tai Chi. She has been teaching in the area for over 12 years.

Thursdays from September to May
Who We Are:
We are a community of families with diverse backgrounds and ideas that shares a passion for home learning. We meet to create a dynamic learning environment for our children and a supportive environment for home schooling families.
What We Do:
We meet every Thursday from September to May (except holidays) for cooperative classes and social time. The classes offered usually change month to month and are taught by parents, kids, or people from the community. The day includes two morning classes (10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.), lunch (12-1 p.m.), play time, and then clean up. Occasionally extra classes have been scheduled for the afternoon. Outside of the regular Thursday schedule, there may also be certain FLC sponsored activities throughout the year.
